1. What we review
We review concerns about unlawful content, fraud, impersonation, lack of listing authority, false permits, inaccurate or misleading information, boundaries, privacy, intellectual property, spam and other Listing Standards breaches. A review concerns platform publication or account use. It does not determine legal title or certify a parcel.
2. Reports and evidence
Reports can come from a listing’s report control, Support, lawful authorities, affected people or our own checks. Provide a listing URL, explanation and relevant evidence or an explanation of where evidence can be obtained. We may request further information. Do not send passwords, unredacted identity documents or unrelated private evidence. Report urgent threats to local emergency authorities as well; Support is not an emergency service.
3. Decisions
We assess the issue, credibility and urgency, relevant law, the seller’s explanation where appropriate and the least restrictive action that adequately addresses the risk. Possible actions include no change, a correction request, temporary review restriction, removal, feature limitation or account suspension. We preserve proportionate evidence and a reason. Repeat or severe breaches may justify stronger action.
We may act before contacting a user when delay could harm people, breach law or compromise an investigation. We may limit details that would expose a reporter, enable abuse or violate law. We do not promise every report will be resolved within a fixed time; priority depends on risk and mandatory deadlines.
4. Notice and appeal
Where lawful and practicable, an affected user receives a reason, the scope of the restriction and how to appeal through Support → Appeal. Tell us if you need an accessible explanation. A report or payment does not guarantee a particular result. The Appeals policy describes review and correction.
5. Fairness and records
We seek consistent decisions and allow good-faith challenges. Reports, case notes and decisions are access-controlled and retained only as needed for safety, law and dispute handling. We do not publish personal report details or internal security rules. Any published aggregate transparency information must be accurate and sufficiently anonymised.
